HELLS GATE & LAKE NAIVASHA DAY TRIP

After your morning breakfast check out of your residence/Hotel at 07:00Hrs, and meet your Safaris guide who after introduction will take you through a short Safari briefing. You will then proceed on a drive to one of the freshwater lakes within the Great Rift Valley,‘The Lake Naivasha’. 

Enroute, you will make stopover to enjoy an elevated view of the breathtaking landscape at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint, as you marvel at spectacular sceneries created by this natural phenomenon that runs from Lebanon to Mozambique. After this convenient stop, you will start meandering down the escapement as you descend to drive further on the expansive floor of rift; past Mt. Longonot before arriving at Hells Gate National Park mid-morning. After the gate formalities, your guide will facilitate your bikes and off you go to explore one of the most atmospheric Parks in Africa on bikes or foot or on a game drive. You will ride past herbivore animals, beautiful birds and past the Fischer’s Tower with the beautiful cliffs; with your safari driver guide following you slowly with the jeep just in case anyone gets tired or is unable to ride. This will also give you an opportunity to spot one of the last nesting sites of the endangered Ruppel’s Griffon Vulture. You will finally arrive at the Ol Njoruwa Gorge, where depending on your endurance; you will drop your bikes and proceed on a nature walk on the cliffs of this beautiful gorge and embark on a guided Nature walk. You will later, pick up your bikes and ride/drive back to the gate as you exit this beautiful haven headed for the crescent camp for your lovely lunch in the garden. 

In the afternoon you will proceed to the Sanctuary Farm to explore this freshwater lake from a boat. You will have a great opportunity to enjoy the birdlife including: the fish eagle, the ducks the Egyptian goose, the cuckoos, Eagles and Kites among many more bird species. Wildlife is also beautiful on the shores of the lake with different grazing animals dominating the area. You will later sail back to the mainland for your drive back Nairobi arriving at your hotel in early in the evening to spend the rest of the day at leisure.
