NAIROBI-NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK&DAVID SHEDRICK & GIRAFFE CENTRE

You will be met by our safari Guide at your hotel/resident who will take you on a short drive to the Nairobi National Park ready to explore the world’s most-famous wildlife Sanctuary. You will access the beautiful park, ‘which is the only park in the world that is within a capital city’ through its main gate at Langata.Your Morning or afternoon adventure starts after clearing with the Park authorities as you embark on an exciting game drive across the iconic park; traversing across open plains country with a sections of highland forest and stretches of broken bush country, deep, rocky valleys and gorges, with scrub and long grass on a journey through one of the worlds most celebrated capital wilderness.Set against the bustling city skyline, The Nairobi National park presents a remarkable ecosystem ideal for spotting rare and endangered black and white rhinos, leopards and other species of game animals including lions, cheetahs, hyenas, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest, and countless species of birds. Experience the thrill of being surrounded by the sights and sounds of incredible biodiversity to enable you discover the essence of an African safari in the middle of a capital city.

Beyond its wildlife spectacle, the park boasts of breathtaking landscapes, the ivory burning site monument, Nature walks at hippo pool trails and dramatic sunsets, making it a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts and safari aficionados alike.

You will later drive to the David Sheldrick’s wildlife trust located in a secluded area of the Nairobi national park. to witness baby elephants rescued from the wild as they have their 11:00 o’clock drink. Here, Here-orphaned baby elephants and other animals are taken care of by a dedicated team of conservationists who will give you thrilling stories of how most of the animals found their way there and the efforts being made to re-introduce them back to the wilderness. If any one of the little Giant’s steals your heart; you can pledge to adopt him or her. Your guide will help you organize your lunch (which is not included and is payable directly.

After lunch, proceed to giraffe Centre to interact with the endangered Rothchilds Giraffes as you learn their behaviors, traits and conservation efforts from the experienced of nature enthusiasts. To cap the visit, you get a rare chance to feed them, hug them and maybe get a giraffe kiss.

After you experience with the magnificent creatures, you will then be driven back to your hotel /Residence or airport to spend the rest of your day at leisure.

Rhino, buffalo, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, lion and plenty of antelopes and gazelles can be seen roaming in this Ornithologists catch with over 300 bird species including the Secretary bird, crowned cranes, vultures, peckers and many more.

Useful information while Visiting Nairobi National Park.    

  • Get much information from your guide on anything you wish to learn while on safari.   
  • Leave only your prints behind like the animals do.    
  • Always leave the park/ reserve clean or cleaner than you found it.    
  • Alighting from your vehicle while on safari is only allowed at designated areas which your guide will be able to arrange. Otherwise, you are advised to remain in the vehicle all the time. 
  • Respect the animals and nature by observing them quietly without disturbing them and they will reward you by behaving naturally in your presence.   
  • It is strongly advisable to carry re-usable water bottles as single use plastic bottles are not allowed in conservation areas,
