The Maasai Mara is home to the 'big five’ animals, amongst many other species of Flora and Fauna that makes it arguably the most popular safari destination in Kenya. The reserve is named after the Masai people who inhabit the region as well as the Mara River which cuts through the reserve. Surrounding the reserve are also a number of private conservancies of varying sizes owned by Maa communities which provide option for those seeking exclusivity while engaging with wildlife conservation initiatives with the local communities
Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be met by our representative at the JKIA who will continue to take you on a seamless transfer to your city hotel to unwind. Immerse yourself in a vibrant urban rhythm of the metropolis city as you wait to embark on your extraordinary safari the following day. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to participate in city excursions which can be organized for you upon request.
Overnight at House of Waine (BB)
After your relaxed breakfast, you will check out and meet our representative who will take you on a transfer to the Wilson airport for your safari flight that departs from at 10:15hrs for Maasai Mara National reserve. Upon landing at Olkiombo airstrip at around 11:00hrs, you will be met by your safari guide who will pick you up with an en-route game drive and transfer you to your camp for check-in and Lunch. After lunch and some rest, it’s time to embark on an evening game drive to orient yourself with the beauty of the world renown reserve, set against the sweeping savannah; a true testament to the raw beauty and power of nature. You will be back at your camp as the sun sets.

After your early breakfast, depart with you picnic lunch boxes and proceed on a full day of game viewing. Your day will be dedicated to unrivaled game drives in the heart of Kenya’s finest wildlife reserve. You will spend precious time in search of Africa’s Big Five animals and a plethora of other wildlife species inhabiting the vast game reserve. Your picnic lunch will be served at a convenient location out there in the bush, before winding up your game activities later in the afternoon to head back to your lodge. Enjoy your evening reflecting on your adventures as you relax at your selected camp surrounded by the untamed beauty of the Mara.

Balloon Safari Experience: You may choose to proceed on an early morning hot air balloon safari for an adventure of a different kind. The adventure begins just before dawn with a drive to the balloon flight site. First, pink tongues of sunlight flicker across the skies as the hot air balloon fills, then rises; suspended in a basket beneath the rainbow-colored canopy, you're off for a wildlife viewing adventure with an entirely different perspective. Toast your return to earth with sparkling wine and enjoy a delicious breakfast that is set up and served at a very special spot. The experience ends with a game drive back to your camp for relaxation as you wait for your evening game drive. Spend a full day immersed in the vast Maasai Mara game reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. Explore in totality the Africa’s most celebrated wildlife reserve known for its incredible biodiversity and the iconic Great Wildebeest Migration in the months of July August and September. Witness predators like lions and cheetahs in action and marvel at the great herds of zebras and wildebeest as they take the leap of faith crossing the crocodile invested Mara River. All meals will be served at your camp as you rejuvenate during the midday hours escaping the heat of the sun. An Optional Maasai Cultural Village visit can be organized, (at extra cost) giving you a chance to learn about this world-renowned community and their way of life. You will be able to mingle with the Maasai, join in their traditional dances as well as visiting their little traditional huts.

Following your early breakfast, check out and conclude your experience at the Mara with an en-route exit game drive, giving you one more chance to capture sightings of wildlife as they start their day. You will be on a transfer to the Kenya -Tanzania border at Isebania. Upon arrival, its time you to say goodbye to the Kenyan Safari Guide as he hands you over to his Tanzanian counterpart who will continue with you for the rest of the Safari into Tanzania. You will enjoy a scenic drive as you transition from Kenya into Tanzania, before arriving at your Lodge late afternoon.
