After your early breakfast at 06:00Hrs, our driver will pick you up from your hotel/Residence in Nairobi and set off as you drive heading north to Ngare Ndare- to spend the day exploring the ancient forest which is one of Africas best expanding-canopy forest.En-route you will have a stop brief stop at the Equator crossing point to stretch your legs as you also take in beautiful views of snowcapped Mt. Kenya -Africa’s second-highest mountain peak.
Upon arrival, your guide will assist in completing the forest access procedures and start your walk in the company of a local forest guide wading through the forest and exploring nature as you stroll among centuries-old trees that are native to the region. After completing your first 2 -3 hours of your hike, You take on the canopy walk- a 450m long bridge suspended 30 feet above the ground, Arguably the longest canopy walk in East Africa. Spend brief moments here relaxing and enjoying a view of the river beneath from this elevated vantage point. Elephants and buffaloes frequently come here to drink and wallow, as they migrate from Lewa Conservancy to Mt Kenya Forest. Depending on the time of the day, you will choose to take a break to enjoy your drink or a meal at the lofty leafy deck with great views of the lush greening environment.
The icing of the cake will be a refreshing swim in a naturally-occurring azure pools glisten at the bottom of waterfalls where diving is permitted for those who wish to take a plunge into the chilled waters. After a long day of adventure and relaxation at the greening scenery with thrilling encounters and tranquil moments of reflection, wrap up your day of enriching and eco-conscious excursion and descent to your starting point where you reconnect with your driver depart and drive back to Nairobi arriving early evening
