After your early breakfast, our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi and set off as you drive heading Southern with your first stop at the edge of the Ngong Hills at Kona Baridi, to Marvel at an aerial view of the spectacular scenery created by the aftermath of the great rift valley formation. After your brief stop, you will then start meandering down the escarpment, descending down to the floor of the Rift valley as you make your way to Lake Magadi.
On your way, you will pass by the Olorgesailie pre-historic site and museum enjoy an educative session at the largest pre historic site in Kenya. The “factory of stone tools”; as is often referred, presents prominence and accumulation of human tools representing actual camping places of early men and evidence that early human species had
During the tropical origin. Scientific evidence has shown that this place used to host a lake basin that acted as the lifeline of human species about 100,000 to 200,000 years ago.

You will after your brief excursion depart for a visit to the adjacent Lake Magadi- a soda lake which doubles up as a local soda ash mining factory with multiple hot springs that can be explored on foot, allowing you to try out their therapeutic properties on your skin. The lake has a huge array of birds, the Lesser Flamingos and Greater Flamingos; among other waterbirds. Common mammals encountered here include: Gerenuks , Kudus, Giraffes, and the tiny Dik diks. You will take a break in the mid-day hours to enjoy your picnic lunch boxes at the at a convenient location; with great views of the rolling hills while enjoying your meal. Later in the afternoon, you return back to Nairobi arriving in the evening.
